Historical Event on 02/28/1568

Chittorgarh Fort was captured by Mughal Emperor Akbar which was circled from outside since 20th October 1567. This victory was achieved with the help of Jaimal and Patta.

4/4/1938A. M. Chakrabarty was born in Sainthia at West Bengal. He found that under the optimum conditions of time, temperature and nutrients the Hydrocarbon-eating "qualities'' of four diffrent strains of bacteria could be transferred into one. He also showed that this super-strain of bacteria reproduces itself.

1/8/1884Keshav Chunder Sen, nationalist leader of Bengal, social worker and good orator of Brahma Samaj, passed away at his home in Lily Cottage, Calcutta. He was one of the first Indians to sow the seeds of secularism in our country. He strongly believed that education was the basic necessity to change the society.
