The English language has many dialects, which differ in pronunciation, intonation, word choice and grammar. If you've ever wondered how Indian English and American English differ, now you can find detailed information on pronunciation differences in Speech Modification's series of short videos.
For example, Indian English speakers typically pronounce the t sound in the middle and ends of words, whereas American speakers use a stopped t sound on the ends of words, and a flapped t or d sound in the middle of words. So an Indian English speaker will say "water" and an American English speaker will say "wadder."
We'll look at more details of sounds and words, including what to watch out for to be well understood when speaking with Americans. Check out the full playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJXFLCasjYl6joyGefUSqnhOs-6svhi0b
