New Delhi, Feb 24 (IANS) Twitter was abuzz with comments after New Zealand beat India by 10 wickets in the first Test at the Basin Reserve on Monday.

The hosts first bowled out India for 191 runs in the second innings and then chased down the nine-run target on Day 4 to take 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.

As expected, Twitter blew up with reactions of fans who showed no mercy in trolling the Indian team.

A user wrote, "At least India have avoided the ignominy of an innings defeat but I hope they don't blame Day 1 conditions alone for their poor show."

Another wrote, "The most disappointing fact of this Test has been that NZ has outplayed India. India did not win a single session in this Test match. For a team ranked #1 in the world, it's a shameful performance."

"After the ODI Loss Kohli said ODI's are least important format as of now...focus is on T20 WC and Test Championship. Now they lost this Test match in such an embarrassing way... Thing about Kohli is he won't accept his mistakes.. He won't realise anything," posted one user.

"Kohli needs to reinvent himself again. Maybe a failure again in the last test will hit him and force him. He's struggling across all formats. No technique issue either. Just getting out randomly out of nowhere. Lack of focus & patience seems to be the issue for me," said a user.
